Course Outline

Configuring Cisco Nexus 9000 Switches in ACI Mode v1.1 is a 5-day ILT training program that is designed for systems and field engineers who install, manage and implement the Cisco Nexus 9000 Switches in ACI mode. This course covers the key components and procedures you need to know to understand, configure, manage, how to connect the ACI Fabric to external networks and services, and troubleshoot the Cisco Nexus 9000 Switch platform.

Prerequisites & Audience

While there are no specific student pre-requisite, there is a recommended level of knowledge on technologies that are needed to take full advantage of this course, such as:

  • Cisco Nexus and Catalyst Layer 2/3 Concepts
  • Cisco UCS C-Series Networking
  • Basic VMWare administration
  • VMWare Networking (vSwitch/Distributed vSwitch)
  • Firewall and/or SLB Configuration Principals
  • Management/Security protocols (DNS, SSL Certs, FTP and RBAC)
  • Basic Linux System administration

The knowledge and skills that a learner should have before attending this course are as follows:

  • Good understanding of networking protocols
    • Recommend CCNA Certification or equivalent knowledge
  • Good understanding of the VMware environment
    • Recommend attendance of the "VMware vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage (Version 6.0) (VICM)" class or equivalent knowledge
