Introduction

This workshop will introduce the MiVoice Office Application Suite Installation and Maintenance course and is designed for anyone wishing to Install, configure and maintain Mitel Communication Service, Mitel Phone Manager & Mitel 6900 SIP Handsets connected to a MiVoice Office 250.

Prerequisites & Audience

In order to enrol on the course, you must have completed:

  • MiVoice Office 250 Rel 6.3 Installation & Maintenance Course or
  • MiVoice Office 250 Rel 6.3 Update Self-Study

    • Use the integrated toolbar features
    • Use the directory feature
    • Setup and use the client as a softphone

  • On the Mobile Client:
    • Install Mitel Phone Manager Mobile on an iOS or Android device
    • Troubleshoot common installation problems
    • Use contacts and call history
    • Use Softphone, chat & presence profiles

  • Install and deploy Mitel 6900 Handsets on a MiVoice Office 250
  • Upload & assign firmware to specific 6900 models and perform a handset rollout
  • Understand how Configuration Profiles work
  • Understand how Keymap Profiles work
  • Understand how to use 6900 handsets in a multi-node environment
  • Understand how SIP Hot Desking works
  • Configure Multicast Paging Zones
  • Configure customer background images and screen savers
