Introduction

This remote leader led workshop is designed for engineers who would like "hands on” learning rather than just following a self-study path that is available for MiCollab and associated products.

Engineers will deploy and configure MiCollab, MiVB and a standalone MBG server in our datacentre.

Once deployed a full configuration of the solution will be completed which will comprise of MBG Proxy services, Flow Through Provisioning and integration of MiVB, AWV and MiCollab Client. Cloud Link chat will also be activated for the MiCollab clients. Bulk user provisioning using CSV files and Active Directory integration will also be covered.

Whilst MiCollab can be integrated with various Mitel phone systems, this workshop will only cover integration with MiVoice Business.

Prerequisites & Audience

Students must successfully complete the following pre-requisites before attending this course;

  • MiVoice Business Core at the most current release
  • UCC v4 User Licensing Self-Study

Engineers will join a conference hosted by the instructor and will require three Mitel 69xx or 53xx handsets configured as teleworker sets along with full internet access to join the conference and manage their deployment.

It is recommended the engineer has two screens to allow following the course whilst programming. 

Course Topics
  • Installation and configuration of MSL, MiCollab, MBG and AWV
  • Configuration of Flow Through Provisioning
  • Administration and configuration of the MiCollab applications (Expect Mitel NuPoint UM*) using the Users and Services Portal
  • Configuration and deployment of MiCollab client
  • Bulk user provisioning using csv files and IDS integration
  • MBG clustering
  • Configuration of Mitel remote proxy services

*Although the Mitel NuPoint UM blade is installed, it is not covered as a subject during this course and will not be part of the certification process.

Those wishing to obtain Mitel NuPoint Unified Messenger accreditation should attend the NuPoint Installation and Maintenance Course.
