Introduction

The MiCloud Management Portal (formally Oria) System Management training course:

- teaches technical users how to configure and setup MiCloud Management Portal for initial use.

- covers how to use the product to manage customer support issues.

- presents technical and administration users with the workflows associated with these tasks.

- qualifies technicians with MiCloud Management Portal System Management certification.

This course is Web-Based/Leader-Led. The student(s) will be remote and the course will be conducted with an Instructor leading the training sessions via a Web session environment. Practical exercises will be conducted with remote access to MCD Instances.

NOTE: Please see Equipment and Set Up Requirements for further details.

Every effort will be made to accommodate for the different time zones that students reside in. This may in fact cause some students to have an early start to their day and other students may have a later start time.
Prerequisites & Audience

Mandatory prerequisite for this course:

  • Mitel Standard Linux (MSL) Release 10.5 certification

Recommended for this course:

  • MiVoice Business release 8.0 Networking, Clustering and Resiliency I+M certification

Equipment Requirements and Setup Requirements

Given that this course is delivered remotely, students must have the following equipment:

- One telephone capable of hands-free or headset operation with mute capability. This will be used for Audio Conferencing.

- Two PCs or one PC with dual screens. One will be for the web session and the other is for ESM and documentation access.

- High Speed Internet connection. 2 MHz download and 400 kHz upload minimum recommended speeds.

Equipment for class needs to be set up in a quiet environment for the best learning experience. Students must also have access rights to install software on the PC(s) for purposes of the lab environment. Notification and information regarding IP addressing and URLs will be communicated to the student by the Instructor prior to class start date. A test procedure will be included in this information to ensure all communication requirements will be met.

NOTE: To ensure there will be no class delays, this procedure MUST be done the week before the start of class.

Mitel recommends that authorized PARTNERs acquire VMware VSP (VMware Sales Professional), VTSP (VMware Technical Sales Professional) and VCP (VMware Certified Professional) training and certification if working on Oria on a virtual machine
